you heard wires burning? Never heard of that (I crack myself up).did you smell smoke? when the fuse blows, is it just when you use one side, or does it will blow when you use either right or left blinker? will your 4 ways work? if it blows on both sides COULD be a muti-function switch or wires touching in the steering column. this is just a guess.

it has the light on the dash for 4x4 but i just got this truck and ive never seen it light up so it might just have it in the dash extra for if it had the electric tcase?,and also how do i pull the aluminum colored piece out of the dash to take a look in there at the wiring?

do you have a alarm system? what color wires are they connected to. i still think you should check your muti-function swt and wires.

hook up a switch from a power supply and reverse the connections at the switch. As soon as you flip the switch, you will hear the wire and casing burn....sounds just like a fuse to a bomb. It will continue that way until the power is turned off or until the wire/switch melts/breaks/blows.

samething can happen should a wire have a bad ground or something.
