Computer Codes

Post by RakerBill60 »

:wtf: I did a scan on my BII, and got 2 codes. First was a code 86 key on engine off which is Shift Solenoid (SS) Circuit Failure, and the second was a code 95 key on engine off continuous memory Which is Fuel Pump circuit open - EEC Processor to motor ground.
Both were key on engine off. I will do a key on engine running tomorrow.
I found a broken wire near the trans bellhousing on the drivers side directly above the starter. It is in a bundle of 3 wires, and I'm not sure if they went to the trans or not. I thought they went to the lock up converter part, but I could be mistaken.
Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
BTW, I found both front and rear axles out of an Explorer for $100.00 each. I don't remember what year it is, does it make a difference what year they come out of?

I think it's 92 and above.

I get codes 98 and 54 on my Bii KOER test. Get the same codes on the KOEO test.

Replaced the IAT sensor - didn't work - It is still receiving 13v instead of the required 5v.

Code 54 also points to the shift solenoid.
