i lost the key for my 1985 bronco II. I have a replacement tumbler with a key but cant seem to figure out how to remove the old tumbler with out the key. if anyone has done this or knows how input would be sweet.

you have to drill out the lock pin on the side of the cly. housing. when you have a key you turn the key to the on poss. and push the lock pin to remove the cly. if you don't have a key you drill the pin. it a fun job. good luck

Looked around the net and found this fix.
I struck the retaining pin one good time with a 1/8 in punch, the "axle" of the tumbler broke and the main body popped right out. I just picked out the rest of the tumbler with some needle-nose and the new tumbler just slid right in. a fix for the 25 bucks for the new tumbler.

That would be the easiest fix other than having a locksmith come out and get it out for you, and that is not cheap by any means. Mine was almost a hundred bucks but mine was a 00 Jimmy.
