rear air shocks (bags)

Post by 303lithgow »

I installed my air shocks today. I was able to pick the backend up about two inches and still have a fairly soft ride. It takes about 20 lbs to even it out. Before the backend sagged and it was a choice between replaceing the leaf springs or adding air shocks. Since I like air shocks I decided to go that way.

It took about six hours. Four hours were spent on the first one and only a couple on second. The middle of the rear wheel wells is now 31 inches off the ground which is the same as the front. My headlights are now aimed proper.

I'll take pics tomorrow when its light outside.
