Would oil leek from a rear main seal for several days after shutting off the motor does'nt it return to the pan when you kill the motor to keep the pump primed ?

If it's from the rear main, it will be all inside the bell housing and might take a few days to all leak out.

might be from the lower intake gasket. they like to leak on the 2.9. just run your fingers in the back by the distributor where lower intake meets the block. check valve covers also, just a thought.
