84 Bronco not getting gas???

Post by chilnboc »

Was running fine until it ran out of gas... Then it started acting up like it wasn't getting gas. replaced the fuel filter and fuel pump still did it. ran fine for about 10 min then died again. What could cause this problem. the ignition switch where you put the key in is touchy one little touch and it stops but that wouldn't cause the problem would it?anything helps! float bowl problem? ignition?

run full checks on it. make sure you have good full oil, check when the last time you changed the filter. i used to drive a camaro that would shut off because of the oil pressure. check your plugs and wires make sure that they are snug on and have no tears

The oil was changed less then a month ago and the new filter was put on. We went through the plug and plug wires and rotor and cap and everything is brand new and not rubbing anything. Could the ignition inside the car cause it to short out? if so then thats the only thing that i could think of because its getting gas the carb is good the fuel lines are good and the pump and filter are both brand new.
