1986 Bronco II

Post by 303lithgow »

I recently added an 86 Bronco II to my stable:

4X4 auto
Canyon Red & Wimbledon White
Ultra Outlaw II rims
otherwise stock

I also have a 1970 F250 Camper Special.

People often tell me I'm useless.

I haven't made it home yet after buying it so the pic will have to wait a week.

Just close your eyes and imagine you are 10 years old and wakeup Christmas morning to find a Red Ryder BB gun under the tree. Yes you have to run out and tell all the other kids even before you've shot it.

Thanks, it only has 59,000 miles on it. The bad part is the owner lived on the end of a gravel road so dust is everywhere, most interior body screws are loose, and it makes a lot of noise. I've tightened up a lot of screws and its getting quieter and in time I'm sure it will be normal.

The outside has no dents but a million rock chips. Some so small it looks like its been sand blasted. The Wimbleton White and the bottom Canyon Red need to be repainted which I'll do myself. The upper red only has a few chips which I can touch-up using a No 1, 0, or 00 paint brush. I'm good at doing it (see the ten foot rule below).

This is going to be my daily driver so I'm not making it show perfect. My gauge is ten feet; if you'r standing ten feet away it should look perfect. Closer inspection might show defects.

I'm getting about 20mpg on the road and it will replace my 91 Toyota XCAB DLX pickup as my daily driver. I also have a 70 F250 Camper Special that is in better condition bodywise but doesn't run as great. I put 3,000 miles on the F250 last year.

Wow that is just what my mom said too! I don't want a red Ryder anymore. I want a gun like Phillipe has.

What does Phillipe have? Let me guess, a black rifle?

I have lots of guns. My most recent one is on the chit chat section. Yes black rifle. Fun guns with work as well. I might have to start a gun post again....
