Hello, I have an 87 Bronco II and my axle shafts keep getting bent. A little bit of backstory was that I was at the dunes and my driver side axle snapped off right at the u-joint. No big deal put it a new one. I decided to check my passenger side and sure as could be, that one bent so much it just fell off the u-joint. Had an extra axle and put in that one. Decided to go try my 4wd in the snow, and what do you know, my driver side axle bends and falls right off the u-joint. What is causing these to bend?
I should also add this is on a stock height Bronco II with 29 inch tires.

uhhh. D28 is what happened, even back in the day when I was running everything stock I would go through front axle shafts like candy. Go pick up a D35 at a junkyard. I waited until the junkyard by my house was doing 50% off and picked a D35 for $100 including that axle shafts. Running 33"s and haven't had the problem since.
