IAC leak - what is that?

Post by oneway »

So i noticed on one of my receipts from Midas, they said they fixed an IAC leak. I have no idea what that is. They noticed it and fixed it around the time when I was getting my emissions done.

IAC= Idle Air Controller.
It allows and limits air into the intake manifold to control the idle speed of the engine. It also helps to achieve proper emissions at idle to allow more air if the computer senses a too rich fuel mixture and less if it is too lean. .
