86 bronco needs help

86 bronco after driving awhile it seem to ack like its running out of gass and then it will cut out,start back up find but when i try to drive it boggs out,like its out of gas,i let it set for about 10 min,it will run find for awhile then it repeats step 1 can you help me please (love my horse) mike :mad2:

change the fuel filter in the dr. side frame rail

I had the same thing happen to me. but only when it was over 100 outside. made a 4 hour trip into an 8 hour trip. Taught the kids the fine art of lizard hunting that trip. The lift pump in the tank has a short hose that connects the pump to pick up. It was swollen (damn CA gas) and even with a full tank it would die then 20 mins later it would start, run awhile then bogg and die. Ranger Dave may know but I think sometimes there are 2 fuel filters. If you can get a fuel presure gauge, hook it up. should be around 40 PSI's with the regulator vacuum line disconnected and plugged if you want to verify it's a fuel problem.
