84 bronco ii with 2.8 very much so lacking power

ok guys my bronco 2 i picked up for free off my gfs dad and the truck only has 99k on it and starts and runs ok but when u hit the gas 2 fast it wants to stall out on me and i know the 2.8 aint made for power but i mean this thing is a real dog any bit of a incline and u are barley creeping i love the look of the truck and would love to lift it and drive the shit out of it but i cant even make it up hills and where i live the truck needs some power so if u guys can give me so web sites and a idea of what the reason for it stalling. thanks guys

check the accelerator pump,take the air filter cover off and look down the carb while opening the throtle up

I have the same problem with my 84 i haven't really pinpointed the problem yet my truck won't even go over 45mph.I did rebuild my carb and that fixed my stalling and hesitation of the truck.
