My bronco II on 39s

Post by marinebroncoii »

Finally finished the exterior while I was home on leave, too bad I'll be in Japan for two more years waiting to do the interior and drive it.

Thanks for all the compliments. It's too high, the tires stick out too far and it has no smog equipment on it, so it's illegal but that's not gonna stop me anyways. The rear is Dana 60, front is D44HD. ON the inside I have black and yellow leather racing seats with yellow 4 point harnesses for it. I'll do the rest black with some yelow and polished diamond plate accents in it, a custom dash with all aftermarket gauges and a nice stereo. Mall rated? Hardly, I can't wait to get home and use this for what it is built for, lots and lots of wheeling. I have 2 years in Japan to come up with plenty of money and plans for it, so I'm sure even more mods will be soon to follow my return home. Think 49 inch Iroks will fit a bronco II without hacking the body up? I might just have to find out.

Do you have to have all the smog equip. in IN and OH? Just courious as to how you find out that info. I better check before I finish my rebuild. I need to find out what the lift laws are around here as well.

Smog equipment is a federal law, it has to be intact and have everything from the car, or engine whichever is newer, but in oh we don't have inspections so I'm not worried. Even if your state has inspections they usually are held at a local mechanics shop and they just check for leaks and lights and stuff

I AM IN OKINAWA JAPAN IN THE MARINE CORPS AND CAN'T TAKE IT WHEELING, BELIEVE ME I WISH I COULD.
Figured I'd write it bigger most people miss that little detail above. I need to get driveshafts for it before I can take it out to test the tires, or get it dirty. When I get home I will post an update with pics of it offroad, where it belongs.
