PLEASE HELP!?!?!?!?!?!

Post by 86broncII »

ok so i have spark but i dont hear any of the fuel pumps come on, what could that be? and another thing, is there supposed to be a fuse block by the air cleaner? and if anyone knows a good website for very clear wireing diagrams that would be great and by the way i know both fuel pumps work becuase when i manually put power to it the both come on and give the fuel rail more then enough pressure so let me know what ideas you guys have, anything would be helpful at this point, i just wanna get it running and on the trail so let me know what you think

look at the - cable on the battery, there should be a small black wire with what looks like a inline fuze holder.make sure thats connected. when you manually power the FP it will run?? it also could be the inertia switch

Dave makes good points :D I would also get a visual inspection of the wiring harness to the pumps and check with volt meter, to see if your getting power to the pump.

it could be the relay but,it it has fuel pressure(hot wiring the FP) it should run.it runs on startin fluid. id say the injectors arent gettin power or there plugged. maybe try another computer?? and make sure all the grounds are hooked up

mine is there on my 86,87,and 88.not sure on my 90. mine all run

if thats the problem with gettin the pumps to come on then it still might not run. cause you said theres pressure in the fuel rail(when the FP is hot wired) and it didnt run.
