Cant find brake line

Post by stevenf »

I need a new rear brake line for my 89 B2. The threads that go to the drum are bigger then the threads needed for the T-fitting on top of the differential. Autozone doesnt have one, Oreillys doesnt have one, advanced doesnt have one.......
Where do I get one from?

I've checked everyplace I know, and no one lists them.. Unless Ford does of course. You may have to build your own which isn't hard.. I know that there are a lot of folks that discourage this, but if you're careful and double check everything, you'll be fine. You'll need the tools for cutting and flanging the line, you should be able to bend pretty closely by hand (watch for crimping). Check after installation for leaks and then a couple more times within the next week. Every old car and truck that's been rebuilt will have custom made lines, so this is nothing new.
