Electric Choke

So here is my dilemma my alternator is from the 2.9L that blew up a few years ago and the motor that is in it is a 2.8L so is there any way to hook up the electric choke to this alternator really I just have no idea how it works so any help would be greatly appreciated.
And on the 8th day God created beer.
