Need some basic info like year and engine model carbed or FI.
Can't even suggest until we know the basics.

1988 BII with stock 2.9 liter V6 fuel injected
Re: no spark on 88 BII
pull the mod. off the side of the distributor and have it checked at autozone. they do it for free. just have them check it more then once because it sometimes will check good the first time then fail when it gets warm.

As D Brown said, Have the TFI module checked. It is that funny looking block attached to the side of the distributor.

i havent tried the ignition module yet havent really had time. but i have another question. the thing is that my bronco shut off while i was driving so could that be the ignition module or more like the pick-up coil?

Re: no spark on 88 BII
My first guess would be the TFI, however the unit in the distributor has been known to fail. The typical symptoms would be quitting when warm and won't start back up till it cools. Sometimes it never starts up.
Question? Have you checked to make sure you have fuel pressure?
One more item. It the vehicle quit after hitting a big bump, or tipped or bounced and won't restart check the rollover switch on the firewall passenger side inside. there is a reset button that you can push to reset if that is your problem.

Re: no spark on 88 BII
I just ran into the same problem on my recently purchased 90 BII. I was in the middle of making a turn and it just died. It turned out to be the pick-up inside the distributer, which requires removing the distributer and completely disassembling it. If this is your problem, take great care when removing the shaft from the housing, a penetrating lubricant and patience will most likely be required. I ruined one distributer shaft trying to hurry the process, luckly I had a spare on hand.
Good Luck.
Good Luck.

alright thanks for all the help i appreciate it. turned out to be ignition module and ignition coil even though they were both tested by autozone before and were good last time. oh well got it running so thanks again
