1987 diesel Bronco II

Post by bartmantom »

well, just a quick note for now, I'll have pics and more info after the install. As of right now I purchased a 1983 Grumman panel truck and in the process of pulling out the 3.7 litre Hercules Diesel engine. Going to try and bolt up the stock tranny and transfer case, if those blow out then I'll go get a T18 and a NP205, any way, that's it for now. more to come soon.

Motor's complete now, doing some clean up and paint then I'll get pics and post them. Going with the ZF 5 speed and the Dana 20, so needed an adapter. Ordered the transfer case adapter from Advanced Adapters the other day. here is the stock photo from the web site of the adapter kit.

quick update and pics

put the motor in for the first time last night, taking measurements and getting ready to make the motor mounts.

on a side note, gonna need a hood scoop!! that dang diesel is tall!! the oil pan has about an inch to go before it hits the cross member and the top of the motor is about 2-3 inches above where the hood goes.
