Blower motor housing and leaves
Today I had to replace my blower motor, at least it waited to die on me after the temperatures got above 0. Anyway, when I removed the blower motor and the fan, I noticed a lot of leaves and twigs wedged between two metal screens going into the heat ducts, What is the best way to get them out, because I can hear them rattling around when I turn my fan on, but I cant find a way to get between them without cutting one.
I'd hate to state the obvious, but have you tried a good vacuum? I also found that removing the heater core was an easy way to clean the ducts out.. May sound crazy, but it does come out very easy. Lastly from the other end, the current BII must have been parked under a maple tree, because the thing is full of maple seeds (helicopters).. I removed the vents in the dash and ran the thing for a week without them, running the blower on high blew them out. Then you just need to clean out the interior.
