i have an opportunity of purchasing front and rear dana 60's for $200 is this a good deal or should i pass it up and keep lookin

if it is open knuckle and the 3rd is on the correct side then yes it is an extremly good deal.

open knuckle you can see the axle shafts closed knuckle you cant...it looks like a ball between the housing and the knuckle. and make sure the center section is on the driverside of the axle.
just by going threw and identifying open/closed, width, and stuff like that you can narrow it down. also if you get the BOM you can find out what it is.
as for the rear do the same thing. but if they both came out of the same truck then you can find out what exactly it is from the front info.
