auto to manual trans swap

Post by pigmy pony »

I just wanted to make sure before I buy this donor b2 that I can swap the auto trans for a manual, that's in the donor. my juice box took a crap and I don't want another one, I would rather have a manual trans.
Thank you in advance I really appreciate it.

The swap should be fairly easy. The rigs were set up to except either running gear. You will have to drill the hole for the master clutch cylinder. I has a boss aready in the fie wall. Change the foot pedal assembly and the floor plate on the tunnel to allow the stick shift to fit through. most of the stuff is bolt in with the least amount of fabs.

yeah i did the swap and it was a cake walk. There will be a plate covering the hole for the master cylender. And depending on what year you get the petals may be diffrent. 89 and 90 have a longer rod that holds the clutch petal on and is a pain in the ass to get off!

Since you have to pull that plate off to do this, just mail it to me while you have it in your hand. I want one to cover the hole where my clutch master used to be,

Also, when you start pulling the manual out do not disconnect the master cyl from the tranny, pull it out hose intact and all. That way there will be no bleeding issues to contend with

Most of them were on a quick disconnect from slave cylinder. I have never had a probelm with getting air in the system.
