fell off!!!!! the thing that keeps the spindle nut from backing off decided to give up on life and so the spindle nut backed off and the tire..............well just look at the pics. run em to the wheels fall off LOL
wow when i put my nuts on i used a flat screw driver and a big hammer hope i put enough torque on ciase thats gotta suck and since i do all my own work i would hate to have to fix it
My brakes always to go soft right before the wheel was to fall off. I used to do the screw driver and hammer trick. I finally went down and bought a hub tool and have not had an issue since.

i had a hub tool i borrowed and wasent able to get the amount of torque i needed i got it as tight as possible with it and then the screw driver and hammer
the biggest problem I ever had with the hub tool was keeping on the hub while I was applying the torque. but I have never had one back off on me once it was set to spec. I just held the hub tool in one hand while I used the other to push/pull the torque wrench.
someone told me about using the hammer/screw driver trick but it just seemed to be to shady and too much quess work...

dont fell bad i was going down interstate 70 im my 87 bronco 2 i was going about 70 mph when the right front desided it wanted to go on its own. need less to say a pass fender,door and some new wheelbearings she was back on the road
