Fuses keep blowing
Fuses keep blowing
Took the bronco for a spin today and on the way home the blinkers and brake lights stopped working. I replaced the fuse for the brake lights but they still do not work. The one for the blinkers keeps popping. As far as i know they both quite working at the same time. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks

After a day of wheelin
I found that I had the same fuses blowing. I ended up lookig at my lights nd found that water had gotten in the socket and was shorting out my lights. The LF was the main cause out of al four lights.

fuses keep blowing
I had to troubleshoot this problem in my 86 Ranger yesterday. If the fuse blows by just turning on the ignition, but not the turn signal switch, the problem is between the fuse and the turn signal switch. Mine turned out to be bare wires on the backup switch plug on side of tranny. I've also had these wires get pinched when reinstalling the crossmember. The problem can also be in the harness to the turn signal flasher, the stop light switch or the hazrd flasher , all which come off before the turn signal switch. If the fuse blows after you turn on the turn signal switch, then the problem is in the switch itself or in the harness going out to the 4 lights. As mentioned, a trailer plug can cause this problem or water in the lights.
