2'' Body Lift or Suspension Lift

Post by nickb »

OK I got my older brothers 87 b2 with 2.9 and automatic.I just put on the 30x9.5 tires he gave me on the stock wheels but I would like to now raise it up 2''. Can someone give me the PROS or CONS on either a Body Lift or a Suspension Lift. With a BL will the trasfercase linkage be OK and what about the gas filler tube? That really doesn't look like it's going to stretch and also I forgot will the air conditioning lines be a problem? And now for the Suspension Lift. Will I have a problem with the front end alignment or transfercase height? If there is any other problems I might run into I would appreciate any input about it . THANK YOU FOR ANY HELP

I did a 2" lift on an 84, had no issues with fuel filler neck on it. That being said, if you are off roading any amount you would benfit more with the suspension lift. If tire clearance is the only reason for this, then the body lift.
