EB grille in a B2.
I was planing this a while back but lost focus when I swapped the body. I just removed the hood latch and went with the hood pins, but that space was taken up by my dual fans so I am kinda wondering how close the EB grill sits on the core support also. I would like to see pics when you start putting it together.

Grill arrived yesterday
Pulled off what corroded hardware was still on it, and will begin the cleanup process this afternoon.
I am STOKED!
I'll be sure to get pics as I go (if I can do so without screwing em up lol)

i love the look of the eb grill,
mine is offroad only so i dubed in redheadlights for the night run at attica to launch it out of the tubes. The eb turn signals got cut out and i put in a set of hellas. Ill try and get some pics next time im close to the rig. Its 3 hours away right now.
here are the latest pics though. Will be wheeling the badlands in july.... FINALY

I really like the blaze orange..looks like you rattle-canned that w/ the orange safety/marker paint my dad used to use when he was an operating engineer.
I've got alot done so far, I've got it about 80% down to bare metal, and I trimmed the sides to within a few inches, to make test fitting alot easier.
I'm looking over the front end, and the EB grill, and it appears I've come to a point where I have to make a decision.
I have to decide to either remove the stock BroII front valance and massage the fenders to meet the grill, or trim the lower section of the grill to blend with the stock valance.
I'm apprehensive about removing any forward sheetmetal from the grill, mostly because there's no going back...but at the same time it appears that the grill will slip behind and nestle with the valance with this part trimmed, it can even screw it down in the center with the existing BroII hardware.
Trimming this section will also remove alot of work, since the areas with deepest rust penetration are in the section that would be removed.
I don't want to lose the EB grill feel, so I'm concerned about that too when it comes to cutting.
I like the idea of putting driving lights in the grill turn signal spots. Did you cut off the turn signal brackets to make it all fit?
I could still retain my existing BroII signals for street-legal driving (a genuine concern in my area) and get the driving lights off the bumper which I've never been fond of.
Here's a chopped pic of what would need to be trimmed

That stuff is great for filling in holes, and stopping rattles.
Not sure what you're getting at about the rust, but we don't have rust problems around here.
The stuff I squirted around the grill is pretty much all blown out from branches and what not. Time for another application I guess
I bet if you bondo over the top it would last. I think that's what wilber did, but that's far too much work for me.
That stuff really is good for filling in large gaps..... then you just take your knife and trim it up. Beats the hell out of trying to work sheet metal.

Just a lil update:
Got the grill roughed-in and on the truck, still needs painted, and gotta wire up lights and get the headlight components & hardware.
Found a guy who will sell me all the stuff except headlights for about $67.00.
I went w/ your suggestion Nobody, and ditched the BII valance leaving the EB grill intact.
I will just thoroughly clean it up, and paint it body color to match.
I'm glad I did: the grill rides slightly higher (sits above the frame rails, instead of dropping below them) and it appears I will be able to trim my fenders about two inches higher and just blend them where the two parts join.
I'm going to get some film today, since I tend to spend all my money on parts instead of a digital camera, and will snap some shots.
I'm doing a little writeup over on BII.org...I gave you, Roger, and Wilber props upfront for the mod
cause I'm not the innovator.
Just inspired by the style you guys already display, and lucky enough to make it work.

OK finally got pics done!
I know...I'm a slacker.
There's alot of work to do still until it will be to a point I would call finished.
Fenders need further trimming, paint and lights need to be done...but the fit is good.
I need some trimlok or something to hide my sloppy grinder work..
Pics were posted today, in the writeup thread on BII.org at the bottom:

Well, after seeing the posted pics, I found an EB grille here in town that's in ok shape. It's rough but will be usable. I'm thinking of just ditching the hood latch and going with hood pins. Sounds like that will solve some fitment issues right off the bat. Are there any mods or recesses that I have to be concerned with doing to the core support??
