If you have access to an arc welder when ever you need it go for a a smaller mig welder and just set it up for the sheet metal but if you don't have an arc welder the spend the money and buy a good 220v machine I had a lincoln 135c which is a 120v machine and used it for like 2years and then I sold it so that I could buy a lincoln 180c which is a much better machine. I am not sure what the duty cycle is but it out lasts my ability to stand there running beads.

i have a lincoln electric mig. i think its a 145. it came with all the stuff required for the tank.. not that i use it but for $550 this thing better last forever... i burned up a $120 mig welder after making a roll cage with it...
