Very nice looking Ride,

You being in the UK and such I would think you might want to look into putting a Cosworth 2.9. I s3ee a lot of
Scorpios over there and it would be an awesome transplant.
I wish I had the ability to import a Cosworth V6 over here. The cost is just to prohibitive here. Maybe you might want to look into that I bet the Cossie would make that B2 Fly...

well had the typical exhaust blowing noise from right hand manifold so decided to fix it but had the pleasure of most of the studs breaking off..

So now both heads are off now so i can get the remaning bits of stud machined out and found out the head gaskets just starting to go which is lucky.

took some pics seeing as my kids like engines and cars etc so thought i would post em up on here in case any one else would like to see whats involved etc

not much of the srtip down but will take more pics as i put it back together again

I have Migged nuts on those broken studs before and it seems to work good. I think the heat when welding helps.

the longer studs are not the main prob its the ones broken off flush that are the problem..

got the heads back couple of weeks back and all the gaskets and new headbolts so got back on to it

cleaned up the heads prior to fit

ImageImage

took me couple of hours to refit it then just had to re time it as dizzy had been taken out and would not fire so re timed it at 10 degrees bdc and got it running again and got it back home again to start doing all the little bits that need sorting..

started the little niggles on it today 8/feb/2011 as a break in the poor weather we been having let the sun come out so made the most of it...

passenger electric window did not work but motor turns so removed door card to find out why and found this

Image

so need to sort out ordering another as its well gone and beyond repairing

also not been able to get heat into the cabin or blower so removed dash to find out why and found bits loose and missing
Image

found this lying on the heater assembly
Image
now fitted back here where it belongs (in this hole)
Image

but found out i am missing the other one that goes here so have put a ad in the wanted section for the missing bit
Image

need the plastic cowl that goes on the bulkhead under the hood too that the blower motor goes in as mines been hacked to bits and only small bit left of it

as i could not do anymore i fitted a cd player in the dash
Image

and gave the dash top a new lick of paint as was covered in surface rust from sitting before i got it
Image

and while i had the paint out painted my wheels on the car as seemd like mine was missing something

before and after

ImageImage

looks much better and will do till i get some other rims for it when i get it lifted in the future

Looking good. I know what it's like having to watch the snow fall and have to stay in.
