1987 Bronco 2 Project

My friend and I split this bronco the other day and are planning on building a beater rig. We are both new to Ford trucks we both have Jepp Cherokees but are very excited about this one!!

It is a 2.9V6 5 Speed 4x4 we have $150 in it the way it sits now. It will need new gears in the rear to start.

Any suggestions on gears.... Almost only for offroad use. Plan on running 32x12.50s

Chopped the top last night. Removed the interior went to the junk yard and got newer seats for it, the other ones were bad!!! I am going to take the rear end apart tonight!!!

i see you got some tasty work beverages on the hood there, but it looks good so far, IDK anything about what gears you should use, one of these other guys would know....

I though the gears were gone but they are good. The part that meets up with the driveshaft and pinion gear (yoke?) is stripped. Not sure what that part is called sorry for the lack of information. My buddy helping me with this project is outta town for a couple weeks. He's normally my go to guy.

Joeyy come on over and lend a hand and I might give ya one of those tasty beverages.!!

I'd love ot help, cuz evertually I'll be doing the same thing, but AR is still kind of far for me to drive from top of WV, good luck with ur project!

Yea.. I didnt suck any water in it. Drove it home and changed out all the fluids to be sure

well thats good. ive almost sank mine a couple times, but i managed to either get it in shallow enough or kept it moving enough so i didnt stahl out

Was gonna lift it soon on the cheap...wondering if my stock jeep xj coils would give it any lift?

I got a d44 front and a ford 8.8 for the rear ($75 for the pair)! My first axle swaps..Any tips?? the d44 had new warn premium lockouts, roters, brakes but needs gears. gonna run 36x12.50s
