it came out ok, but it could be better......it fixed the problem I was going to have with the tire tucking into the rear anyway.

When I cut mine, I used masking tape to show what it would look like before I did any cutting. I then folded the cut edge over to make it look clean.

well, I had planned on just painting the truck flat black so the fact that I wrinkled it isn't that big a deal. but I did do something similar......I basicly drew out where I wanted to cut the fender then offset an inch lower. then I cut where I offset and then folded the lip up link what phillippi is talking about. I just had a situation that the metal was in a bind so when I went to beat the lip over with my body hammer the fender twisted in the seam where the flare is. it looks fubar but it will work and I think if I put one of those rubber flars over it it will look ok......but like FSB said its going to get smashed any way........ :redneck:

yeah, I am planning on having to cut more once I get to where I can flex out the suspension.....hopefully it will be soon. if you want to come help your welcome...... :laugh:

:laugh: that's a long drive just to stop in and trim some finder's. im getting a reciprical saw for christmas and am planning on taking a little more time to tidey up my finders front and rear i'll post some pic's up when i get into it.

be very carefull with the sawzaw.....using them gets addicting, next thing you know you will be cutting everything up to alter it :laugh: I had ALOT of fun cutting up the 79 body.......

yeah tell me about it i went crazy with my b2 and chopped the top which know i wifh i would have waited to do for later possibley. the finder's need a little more though especially the rear the rest will be on the frame end's i need to get then ready to be closed of so i can flat tow it over the mountain's to my new place. i think im gonna try to get some new door's to i chopped the crap out of those and now i have no support on top.

well I finaly have an update........but I haven't done anything but spend money :laugh:

this is basicly everything together, the only thing I have not gotten yet is shocks and I was wanting to get the suspension together before I just buy something.

I compaired them to the stock one's and there is a big difference.

stock = 17 uncompressed
superflex = 24" uncompressed

monday is when I am going to get them in, if I have enough time I am going to start on the steering also.

cool let me know about the steering there is some bug's i have to work out on mine before i tear up the rag joint to bad. oh and cant wait to see how the coil's work ;) . i might have to up grade. cant decide if i want more lift or not.
