302 cid, np435/np205, dana 44 and 9' out back. I got 5.5' eb springs for the front and I'm still collecting leaf packs to make up the rear, I plan on running 35' tires and just beat the snot out of it on trails :canada: :redneck:

buddy thats past rust on the rear well.

i like the chop top, i have thought about doing it to mine but i am no body guy. i won't have a/c either so i am going to have to do something to get it cooled off in there.

anyhow how far are you from getting it running?

Ah it's just rust, cut it out and weld new stuff in and watch that stuff rust. :D I'm not trying to make it look pretty just work. As for how far along am I? Engine is still on a stand trans and transfer case on a pallet and no leafs yet, thats next, after the camper van.[img]

Hey back in the 70's I had a V.W. microbus. It was a Kool camper ready to go at a moments notice and was even my home for a while!!

I like that pop top version also. What are you gonna do to the bus?

The camper was the wife's idea, actually she bought it, I just do the wrenching. Right now the plan is to just get it to pass inspection and go camping next year. I'll do a full meal deal to it in a few years, but right now it's just to fix up and have fun. The beetle is hers too, and the "new beetle", shit she has more junk than I do!!!!
