Yea it is the first right turn before the Red bridge. It goes up approx. 7 miles or so. It has good elavation but it does have some hairy corners that in years passed have been a stopping point for many of us when one guy sides off. I think I could have gotten to the top if I wasn't rolling with so many stock rigs. Oh well we still had a good time. I think that i might want to try FSR18. I know that it is a place for snow mobiling in the winter but I don't recall if no trucks are allowed. I have never seen a sign. It goes from whitehorse west to FSR17 which from there you can go to Finney creek or towards concrete. Just an Idea.

That's where we were last weekend. We were talking to some sleders and they say that road gets groomed and closed to 4wd(BS!) Actually I know they started grooming the segelsen/whitehorse side a few years back

Well that answers that question. Oh well. I talked to the Ranger station in Darington and they said hopefully by late summer that they will have the Mt. loop hwy open again. :D Can't wait
