New member 1985 eddie bauer edition

Post by sterben »

Hi im New and as the titles says i have a 1985 eddie bauer edition Bronco II.
I inherited it from my father who passed away and its been sitting in my driveways for five years now. Id love to resorte it seeing as
i have alot of memories in it from when me and my dad would go fishing or take me on trips to disney world.. I dont ever plan on getting ride of it, so restoring it is the only option!

The problem i am facing is that i think the fuel lines are clogged up with some gunk gas a friend of mine put into my gas tank telling me he had some gas for me to pay me back for the ride.. eh she never drove again after i got home. she would start for a moment then shut down. after a while she wouldnt start at all. shell crank and if i put starting fluid in her carb she start momentarily as a have my foot down to the floor then shut off abruptly.

Im really appreciative of who ever made this site. Thank you!
Also do anyone know where i can find an online free manuel?

Do a search here on the board for manuals or electronic manuals. I have listed a few sources of free tech manuals online but I don't remember where the posts are but you should be able to find something.

A good source of info is your local public library. Most all Librarys have access via on line and some of the librarys give free access to online chiltons.
Good Luck

I see the V6 emblem on the fender and if I correct (I may be wrong or drank too much) you have a 2.8L. Might have to rebuild the carb.
