snorkel??!?! has anyone ever snorkeled there bII?

on my nissian frontier i snorkeled however ran the lines behind the cab though the bed floor kinda hard to do on a bII due to no bed and i dont wana have a hot pipe in the cab? so that left though the hood? but i dont wana be looking at a pipe when driving... side maybe? 
heh no bueno i dunno and fastening it to the side and then heat guards i see something getting stuck on brush... so any ideas? pictures?
