I thought I would share this, we have a truck at work that is a 2007? F150 with the individual coil packs for each cyc. Well, we have had problems with this truck for mounths. Every few weeks the truck sputters...we take it back...new coil pack. it just keeps happening. so the guy who drives it jumps up and down till we take it to the dealer here in Bowling Green. the dealer says it needs plugs and a coil pack. The office ok's the repair and they attempt to fix it. two days later the dealer calls and tells the office that the plug is "stuck" in the head and recomends we replace the motor....wait for it...

so, the estimate for the motor $4000.00. well, our office gets mad. they yell at the guy who told them to take it to the dealer and ok the repair.

2 days later we get a call...the truck is still missing with the new motor. at this point I am rolling in the floor, evidently the dealer didn't do a full check of the electrical system and the computer is fried.

total bill some topped $6000.00 so now we have a truck with high miles on the body, maybe worth 10k and are so upside down on it that they will never get it back.

it was good stuff

yeah, they paid it. the worse part is our guy got the mechanic to admit the head was a bad design and that they were fixing tons of those. but they still wouldn't budge on the price.

yeah thats the person who ok the new motor! slap in a new ecm and plug or maybe a head if it is that bad but how does a plug get "stuck" with out someone messing up. maybe stripped (most likely what happened) sense those engines only have a few threads holding in the plug.
