New to the bronco II

Post by Wolfe190 »

Hey everyone

I'm thinking of buying a 1984 Bronco II 4x4 with the 2.8 V6. Any tips for this truck? Known problems to look for with this engine? The owner says it needs a head gasket but I can fix that myself easily enough.

The milage isn't listed, but it looks like a clean truck and is almost completely stock so I don't think I have to worry about it having been abused.

Thanks for any info!

i'd be very skeptical about purchasing anything that "may need a head gasket" unless you personally know the seller because you don't really know how often or how many times the vehicle has overheated. Overheating can warp heads or crack them etc etc.....so even if you fix the head gasket, you still may have an underlying problem.

oh and welcome
