new computer

Post by clem »

Wow, what a time converting to a new system, maybe not for those who know what they are doing, but for a dumb redneck like me it's a drag, but I got rid of my p3 and got a p4. Seems like yesterday I just got rid of my vic20. :D Now I just got to get my e-mail list back.

I know your pain. I'm scared we're gonna loose the server. It's getting old. But it's a bit of work to build a new one!

Hey Matt, what do you need help with as far as the server goes? If I can get my kids computer replaced, a dual P4 Xeon board and CPUs will be available.

Clem good luck with the upgrade.

Unfortunately, the one thing I need I can't get...that's more time! Although with the economy the way it is, I'm happy to have this problem. I've been running the server on vmware for a couple years now. It's worked out really well, but my computer is just getting too old. I'm mostly worried about the hard drive. It was a used SCSI drive to begin with, and now I've put probably 6 years on it. I'd like to build a 64bit PC with mirrored drives so I don't have to worry about it. Appreciate the offer though!
