Ranger doors on a BII???

Post by madmark »

Hi guy's
I havent posted much for a while, but I been working and I bought an 84 BII,got it running already, needs a little cooling system work, got new stat and the gskts, got vc gskts too.
In case you dont know the whole story the BII had a heater blower motor fire,so the guy I bought it from started to take the climate control wiring harness from an 85 BII but thought it wouldnt work so he gave up.The truck sat for 3 years after that.Any way he has a ranger 83 or 84 that has better doors than the the BII and I can have them if they will fit.Can any of you tell me if they will?
He also says I can have anything I want from 85 BII thats a parts truck, that will fix the heater/ac sys,got a large case 90 amp ford alt in the deal too, gona trun that into obw.got the a/c comp from the 85 also, oba.
It runs, all the lights work, needs brake work bad, smokes alittle after it wrams up but I think that will slow way down with new valve seals. The c-5 auto seems to go into all gears, but with the brake pedal going to floor I did want move it.
I took the oilpan off the 460 in my 78 Sunday and there wasn't any metal or broken skirts or rod and main bolts,so now I will pull the caps and plasta gauge them,if thats all good I'll look for a bad lifter or a bad wrist pin.
Sorry for the long post.
