Switching to a Dana44

Post by nettak »

So what all is involved in switching to Dana44? Where do I look for one? How do I know what I'm getting? I wonder if I can do this myself.

ya know, i look at the swap as a basic entry level mod for a BII.

to spend any money on anything else susp. wise or tires and wheels first would be a waist of time and money.

i've hardly even driven mine and the 4wd hasn't worked since i've owned it. i brought it home yanked the motor, dropped in another, stripped the interior swapped the gas tank out for a plastic one, got a new windshield in her and started looking for axles and collecting parts for the swap.
i did a search and looked through the threads and still didn't find what i needed!
