Clicking???

Post by B2JAY »

Hearing a clicking and squeaking noise from my rig when I drive it and louder clicking when I use the brakes. I just had new rotors and brake pads put on a week ago. Can anybody tell me what the noise is? I know my auto locking hubs are going bad but could it really be making that much noise? Any suggestions would be helpful or if is thought to be the hubs. Just want some opinions please...

I would have a squeaking noise coming from the rear when the little cable strap in the rear brakes broke. It ties into the e-brake set up. I have broken two or three of these. I also have had a squeaking noise when the rear u-jiont is drying up and is getting ready to fail.
EBSteve just likes to watch me break things.:-)

is it coming from the front or rear?

check the brakes, you might have a cracked pad. if not check the bearings and if you know the hubs are bad replace them. if you know a part is already bad it is a good place to start.
