Driveshaft Help

Post by B2JAY »

I'm installing a 6" Skyjacker lift on my stock 86 BII and I need rear driveshaft advise. Instead of spending $$$ to have a custom made shaft, I was wondering if anything else would work? Please reply with any help you can give.

do you have the shaft with a dual cardon on it?, if you do I have heard of peple lengthening it, or you can get a explorers and have it cut down. mine cost me 180$ I think, and I have the same lift as you, but its not a dual cardon.

either way its probably gonna be 60-100$

you can use a jeep or f250 long bed drive shaft and take an inch or two off it, they use the dual cardian stock. Or you can pick up a f150 rear driveshaft and put the cardian joint on it. Or you can just go to the local wrecking yard and measure everything in the driveshaft pile and find one that fits. I have had to do that a few times.
