87 Bronco2 2.9 running rough

Post by Bear73 »

I have not replaced anything yet because I just bought it. It runs great while cold, but when reaching normal operating temp it goes to surging like it's misfiring or has bad gas. It only does this while its warmed up. Please help

Check fuel pressure and clean or replace injectors.

Bear,

I would look at 2 components; the fuel filter and/or the TFI ignition module ..). The fuel filter is very easy to change and inexpensive. The ignition modules cost a bit more and are plagued by heat and in one of the worst locations, fir a heat sensitive component.
