What motor? How old? Have they ever been off? How rusty? Gotta take all that into account. What tools do you have? Impact or hand tools? Lots of PB Blaster days in advance or some other rust remover penetrant. You almost always snap 1 or 2. Patience and finese works well.

1988 2.9 not sure If they've ever been removed they don't look like it, I'm afraid of snapping then cause I don't have the money to take the head to a machine shop to get it out I'll be using hand tools

So take your time and lots of PB Blaster or other rust remover lubricant. Have you checked on the TRS forum too. Lots of good info there and people with lots of know how.

Imma try some quick steel manifold repair if that doesn't work for a temp fix till I can get headers, I'll probably just take it to a shop

I had the same issue on may 88 2.9v6, I was worried just like you. I saw this guy on you tube take furnace Crack sealant and that cloth exhaust wrap and some wire do a crazy repair job, cost me 12 dollars to try it, I'm going on 9 months now of it holding perfectly, , take the heat shield off the manifold, jack up your b2 properly and support it with jack stands, get some good light and crawl under and find where the problem is , and do what you see this guy do . It really works, 12 dollars ,1 hour work versus CACHINING, $$$$$ at a shop, 88 broncoboy
