Power lost on Incline

Postby nortiz2011 » Thu Sep 10, 2015 1:41 pm

So I have a 1986 Bronco II Eddie Bauer edition 4WD that I am buying to fix up... Now the main issue I am having with it is that when going up any type of hill it will slowly lose power. I did a complete tune up on it and replaced the muffler. I am just lost as to what needs to be done to fix this. This is the only real problem I am having with it. Any suggestions will help

Thats an odd problem, cant think of anything that would be affected solely by going up an incline. Is this a stock 2.9? What tranny?

Check the fuel pump and filter.

I have same exact issue with my 86 b2 project. Wonder about fuel pump in gas tank. It's old and tired.

Are you suggesting it could be a transmission related problem?
