I have read every post about tire size on here and what I've learned is ... You can run this size, you can't run this size, can run them without lift, you need lift, trim fenders, don't have to trim fenders ...
Soooo,I have an 89 xlt,no lift, stock rims but probably gonna get new rims and my question is - can I run,safely,31s
on my B2 ??? Please, anyone with a stock,no lift running 31s let me know. Thanks a million, Chris

31s will rub slightly when the wheels are at full lock.

I made a last minute decision and went with 30's.They look great, fill in stock fenders very nice and no rub problems.

Good show. I think the tire rub would be real aggravating so the 30's are a good selection..

So hows the 30"s workin out? I have 29.5"s on some alum Ranger rims and Ive never had the rub even while offroad.

The problem I'm having is not the front tires, but the back tires. They are wide and on dips or big bumps they scrub the fenders pretty hard.I'm getting a body lift kit put on this week.I just couldn't bring myself to cut the fenders.

That could maybe have been fixed with differant rims, Ive had 10.5x31s with Ranger rims on mine and they cleared inside the rear fender easily, but rubbed on the front, now I have 10x29.5s on those same rims and theres no problems at either end.

Hey Lance, let me run this by you . . . I got a 3'' body lift (looks great) so no more tire rubbing problems. BUT after the lift the 4x4 shift knob is now only about 2 inches off the floor and I can't get into 4 wheel drive. The knob won't budge at all..I asked the place that did the lift if the lift was the problem and of course they said no.Now they're talking about maybe having to replace the transfer case ! ?! !?! !? The lift ate up my Bronco budget,so now what ?

I have a lifted '85 where the PO had cut a larger hole in the floor and extended the shift lever. Ive never driven the truck but it seems it would be functional. Its an extreme lift, 4" suspension and 4" body, I just wanted the body off it so I wont ever drive it but the PO said it worked well.
