4wd switch not lighting up or working?

Post by martyanderson10 »

I have an 87 Broncoii and the 4wd "touch drive" switch will not light up, the courtesy light inside the switch does light up when you turn the headlights on. Evidently there is no power going to the switch. I have tried to find a fuse for it but the manual does not identify any fuses for the 4wd system. Is there a fuse and if so where is it? Any other ideas on how to troubleshoot? I bought a used switch because the old one was falling apart but the switch is not the problem. The truck is in 4wd right now and won't come out until I find out why there is no power to the switch. Thanks in advance for any help.

Looks like a couple fuses and a fuse link
