When I drive, my Bronco II stays in first gear for a really long time. Once the transmission warms up it will shift correctly as long as it is hot. As soon as it cools down, same problem again. I have been told it is the torque converter, modulator valve, gasket for the filter, and/or dirty fluid. Transmission has just been installed on it and it has new filter and fluid. As far as I remember, transmission was fine when it was in my other Bronco II. I do remember buying a modulator for that transmission as well.
Anyone have any clues as to what this might be? I need my vehicle back!

Re: A4LD shifting problems
I have no answers cause I'm having the same exact problem, and the BII has been parked for months...
...fingers crossed someone has an answer or you happen to figure it out and let us know. Good luck!
