Somebody Help With This Please

Post by EFSleeper »

Ok so I have been scratching my head on this for a while. I have replaced every fuel line from the tank to under hood, also have replace o rings on injectors, intake and intake gasket. But for some reason everytime I put mor than a 1/4 tank of gas in my old 87 B2 I spray fuel out from around the number 3 injector. It started as a little leak when it first started to spray but now it's around a gallon per mile it sprays out. So any ideas on where to turn maybe I missed something a long the way that ya'll have replaced before :mad2:

Have you checked the manifold where the injector goes in? I would first look for signs of a crack around where the injector meets the manifold.

I would next look real close at the O ring and look to see if something is damaging the O ring upon installation. check the fuel rail for proper alignment too.

Each injector should have a clip that locks it into the fuel rail too....are all of those still there?

My fuel pressure is great. Not sure an exact number but I know I can open the hood and fuel sprays a good 20 feet like a sprinkler system :mad2:. But I did get around to taking the intake off the other day and realizing that everything was good on the injector. All besides the rubber ring that goes around the plug. Oh yeh and that it is fully clogged up. So any home tricks to unclogg it before I go spend 70 bucks on a new one from the parts store :D
