BW1350 Length

Post by Dreded »

I am in the midst of figuring out what tranny/t-case to use for my BII v-8 swap... I have a ZF-5 married to a 1356 and I know the 1356 is 16 5/8" from front mounting plate to rear U-joint mounting plate

Was wondering if someone could tell me the dimensions of a BW1350 front mounting plate to u-joint mounting plate(flat surface for u-joint clips)

yea not a lot of other choices though... iv spent hours trying to figure out what will fit and all I can come up with is a np205 or use an Advance Adapters adapter for bw1350

yea but then I need to either make a separate T-Case Crossmember or change the tranny as the ZF cant handle the weight of the np205.. also I dont have room to use a divorced 205 and its hard to find a married one

I like your whole writeup btw shows people it can be done on the cheap..

If I decide to switch to C4(which would suck cause I just scrapped one) then I will use a np205(if I can find one for a reasonable price)

just thought id mention that with a zf and bw1356 the driveshaft length I would need to run is 18" which is why I don't think its a great choice :p
