1984 2.8 to 1986 2.9

im new to the bronco 2 i have a 1984 with a 2.8 L that is bad and i can get a 1986 with a 2.9 L to put in my 84 bronco 2 will the 2.9 with efi go in with and does my 84 have all the wires needed for the efi or do i need to pull more than the motor off the 86
i dont want to buy the 1986 if i cant put the motor in my 84 with out to much trouble any imfo would be really cool she is just sitting in the yard its killing me thak you

Your best bet is use the entire harness from the 2.9.

you will need the ECC and ECM from the 86 to use the fuel injected engine from the 86

Fuel tank, fuel pump etc. The 84 is not fuel injected and has a mechanical pump. Just pull the '86 right up next to the 84 and start the swap..
