1984 bronco 2 2.8 v6 water outlet housing

Post by Breal »

I have been having an issue finding this upper thermostat housing aka water outlet. I've been told thier discontinued I've called every junk yard in Michigan even eBay and no luck. Is there a way to use an aftermarket one and reroute the heatercore hoses? Thanks so much. Been stranded for a month!!!!

I don't remember if the outlet for the 2.8L has a heat hose connection. The one on Napa Online says it's for an 2.8L upper but the picture doesn't have a heat hose nipple on it. It's sounds like it may be what Breal is looking for a water outlet with heat hose nipple on it. I'm sure Dave would know. Been awhile since I've worked on 2.8Ls. Breal go to napaonline.com and put the part # in and see if that's the one.

The difficulty of installing a V8 in your bronco II is inversely proportional to the root of the number of dollars you have to spend.

In other words if ya gotta bundle it is a piece of cake.
