Gears?

Post by Mudhog1977 »

Does any know if it will hurt anything if I run a 8.8 with 4:11 gears on the back with the dana 28 with 4:10 gears on the front? I know your not supposed to run different gear ratios but I was unsure being that they are so close, not like im runnin 4:10's with 3:73's any feedback would be helpful I cant afford to buy both diffs at the same time thanx

I cant imagine that, that small of a difference will make much of a difference. Even with the front locked I would run it until it exploads (like mine did) then upgrade.

Ford did too. Wanted the front end to pull the rear end, Worked good in sand and snow.

the ratios don't have to perfect...I think you are allowed 2% if I remember correctly.
71 Bronco - twin sticked, full width, 2" lift, wristed arm, lots of rust...
